- I have ImageFX 1.52 from the CU Amiga coverdisk and am wondering how I can
- save (or rather, resave) GIF images. This isn't as simple as it appears as
- it's not possible to save the working buffer as GIFs aren't 24 bit images, of
- course. The only other alternative which appears open to me is to render the
- image to a particular screen mode (not what I want to do: I want to retain the
- image at the size I drew it for use as a WWW image).
-
- Can anybody suggest how to do this or am I missing something stunningly
- obvious?
-
- I've tried using PPaint (v4, another coverdisk program) but its GIF savers
- don't seem to work correctly (a large blank space to the right and below the
- image is added, containing some "mangled" image data)
-
- Also, am I the only person who seems to end up with GIF images being displayed
- with a black line along the bottom when using AMosaic1.2/2.0 and the ZGIF
- datatype 39.9? Visage seems to show the images correctly (using its internal
- decoders).
-
- Finally, does anybody actually use PNG images for webpages?
- I've not encountered any, and although I have the datatype, I'm unable to
- create them :(
-
- Cheers,
-
- Dave.
